Broner victory trees Paulie fuming

Anrien Broner became a three-weight world champion this month, leaving a fuming Paulie Malignaggi claiming he had been robbed of his WBA crown.Fighting in front of his hometown crowd at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Malignaggi was determined to silence the unbeaten Broner after a bitter pre-fight war of words. The 32-year-old took the challenger the distance and was convinced he had done enough to retain the welterweight crown on points. But Malignaggi was stunned when a split decision went in favor of Broner, who had stepped up two weight divisions for the contest. “The fight could have gone either way but I don’t think he did enough to take the belt from the champion.“In my hometown, as the defending champion, I felt like I should have got it.”
