WHITE CLOUDS AND TELUGU IN COMPUTER POINT T20 SEMIS

White clouds CC won their third game in a row to secure their place in the semi finals of the ongoing Computer Point T20 tournament that is played at Kicukiro cricket ground. Over the weekend WCCC beat Charity CC by a massive 90 runs after they posted a huge score of 154/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Mary Maina was the hero of the day after hitting 47 runs not out and getting 2 wickets.

In the men’s league Telugu CC got their second win after beating Victory CC by 25 runs to top group A in the preliminary stages of the computer point T20 games. TCC batted first and posted the second highest score of 180 runs for 5 wickets. Suveesh Kottemmal and Sagar Kuzambai were the greatest danger to VCC bowlers after scoring 41 and 49 runs respectively. In their chase VCC put up a good show but wasn’t enough to win. Best batting figures of Desire Manirambona 69 runs and Andre Kayitera 41 runs only helped VCC post 155 runs. VCC lost their two preliminary games and they will not proceed to the semi finals.

In the afternoon game, Dugout CC batsmen Eric Dusingizimana 48 runs and Joshua Mwanja 66 runs damaged Challengers CC bowlers after having a long partnership of 135 runs that later led to DCC winning the game. Chasing 152 runs against Challengers was a huge task for us but we had the right attitude of attacking their bowlers from the start and it worked, said DCC captain Eric Dusingizimana.

Challengers loss to Dugout means that it is still unknown which two team will proceed to the semi finals. Both clubs have won two games each but have to wait for the result between Indorwa CC and Impala Titans CC. If Indorwa wins then three teams will tie and the two with the best run rates will continue to play in the semi finals.

The ongoing computer point T20 tournament is scheduled end on 30th June 2013 after the finals on the same day.
